I don't know how much I have to say on this topic other than I agree... the world is quite a mess.
I live in Lancaster County, PA and work not far from where all of this happened on Monday. Except that on Monday I wasn't at work - I was at the hospital where some of the victims initially were brought in, because my sister-in-law was having scheduled surgery that day. I'd been there since 6am, and when all this started happening late morning, it was so surreal.
It's always bad to hear about stuff like this, but you never think it's going to happen near you - and to the Amish, at that. My office is surrounded by Amish farms, and I just feel so awful about what's happened to their peaceful community..
