Hi,
My teenagers were murder on my self esteem. They were intent on making me feel like I was the world worst mother. Theyre in their 20's now and are more mindful that their words can hurt a person. Theyre really nice kids. We get along well.
She probably doesnt realize that she made you feel bad. Teenagers are ignorant by nature. I mean ignorant in the true sense of the word. Its not meant as a slam at your daughter.
Watch, in a few years shes going to ask for that sofa when she moves out. Lol, you can tell her it doesnt go with her apartment.
She will become more thoughtful of your feelings. They get better when they begin to walk in our shoes. Time and perspective....
Keep your chin up. Ill bet youre sofa is great.
