it's good to know there's still caring people in the world. when i got stranded in edinburgh, after my credit card got hacked and my account cleaned out, i got offers of help from folks in the highlands who i barely know, friends in birmingham and one sweet woman at the edinburgh train station who i didn't know at all!

then when i got home my best friend handed me £50 to tide me over and some african folks in the community (who i don't personally know) passed over a tray of food for me.

i feel honored when i cross paths with folks like those, especially if it's at a time when i've been down or feeling cynical.
