Hello,
My name is John. I have been talking to the same girl for nearly 3 years. Her and I have been on and off mainly because we still needed to mature. Now that we have matured, we are better now. Since 2013 started, we have not had any major problems and we're just in a perfect state of a relationship. However, last summer of 2012, I made a mistake because of my anger issues and her parents won't let us see each other. I got help with my anger issues and I've been a better person since the new year started. Her mom has been lenient and has actually been accepting me, but her dad still isn't budging one bit. Her mom has been taking her dad's side mainly because they don't want to ruin their own relationship since they have had their own relationship problems. I'm actually quite happy for them because they have been going to retreats and counseling to make their own relationship better. Now I'm asking, what are my options? What should I do? I don't want to give up because I really do love the girl and we've been going out for so long. I have tried moving on by talking to someone else, we took a month break, but that didn't go well. We tried pulling a "Romeo and Juliet" (except the ending part), and we've just been sneaking around. If you need more details, please ask. Thank you!
