I like how it is said that Einstein believed in an "afterlife" of sorts because we are made of energy, and energy doesn't die it just changes forms. I find that to be very comforting, actually. A man of science, who is highly respected, who said something extremely spiritual really.

I think everyone needs to find their own answer in the end.
