Dear Beadlady,

I can not say what the PT is thinking. I do not know if he thinks that you should go to the hospital or not, but I do think that if he thought that your living conditions, or ability to take care of yourself were at high risk, he would have done something immediately.

I would consider this a good sign that he left you, and "the others," for it can only mean that he has some faith that you are able to manage yourself, for a short while, anyway.

Even if it turns out to be, that between your doctor and the PT, it is decided that you should return to the hospital, I can't imagine it would be for a stay longer than to adjust your medications. Surely anyone that was in dire need of an extended stay in the psychiatric unit would not be left to care for themselves, as the PT left you.

Try your best to not worry, for it will only add distress to circumstances that may be beyond your ability to change. Remember, also, that even if your largest fear was realized, the PT and your doctor have acted out of care for "the others," and yourself, and not because they want you to feel poorly.

Take deep breaths, dear Beadlady, and do your best to relax. You are among friends.

I will be thinking of you.

Sincerely,

-Fleeing Bellocq
