I cant say you will or wont be hospitalized. different locations and treatment providers have different rules for what happens when finding out a person has a mental disorder or one like DID

the only way for you to find out whether you will be hospitalized is if you talk with your psychiatrist. Different locations have different rules about how and why they need to hospitalize someone who is suspected of having DID. I was hospitalized as part of the testing/evaluating/observation and diagnosis process for DID.

I just went back and read your other posts....In another post.... in the thread discussing how to tell treatment providers you have DID....you wrote your psychiatrist knows about this. they havent hospitalized you yet right so you can probably relax on that issue.

I also want to say please dont jump to the conclusion that you may have DID based on black outs, personality changes and going by different names.. even normal people have these problems sometimes. example stress, lack of sleep, poor diet and many other completely normal things can cause a person to have this combination of symptoms. so can just about every mental disorder out there.. example a person with bipolar disorder will sometimes have times when they have chunks of time when they dont know what happened, their personality/moods will appear to change and have different names they go by at times. a person with depression will also have these same symptoms sometimes....a person with physical health issues will sometimes have these combination of symptoms...I have a heart problem and that affects my having these same symptoms at times....

my point is if you think you have DID the best thing to do is contact your psychiatrist and they can have you evaluated to see if you have it or whether the symptoms are coming from your heart problem or other issues that can be causing these same symptoms.

and go according to what ever your own treatment providers say...example in another thread you said your psychiatrist knows... what did the psychiatrist tell you?
