Calm yourself down. Even 1 minute is good. Learn to put breaks in this over whelming storms of emotion.
Ask yourself if you are in control, not the question am I losing control?. Tell yourself, "good, I am still in control. I have to freedom to will. I am born with it. Therefore I will suffer bravely because there is a meaning in this suffering." This can be your little break.
