Yeah, I understand that, but don't accept it. No offense, just my personal belief.
There's no evidence that the mind -- our consciousness -- is anything other than a manifestation of the physical brain. Physical injury to the brain results in injury or loss of the mind. No one has ever measured or documented a soul or spirit; people only have the subjective impression that such may exist.
It's nice to think there might be something more -- and I'm not ruling out that there might be -- but I learned a long time ago that wanting something to be true is not the same thing as it's being true.
