Yes, but you both have to realize this is a part of PTSD as well. OMG, I battled with this constantly myself. But I didn't give up, or give in, I kept on working at it. You have to be a "fighter" that is all there is to it. You have to realize that it takes time for the brain to heal and develope new capacities, it just doesn't happen over night, believe I know this well myself.
You cannot just sit there and "wait" to get better, you have to do the work, yes it is hard work but better than not improving and just sitting in the puddle or cespool of PTSD. You don't have to do that, really.
My T keeps reminding me that I have to push myself out of the comfort zone I built up to accomodate the PTSD. It is the only way you finally heal.
