I totally believe that your alters *believed* they were completely separate people. I get that that was their perception of reality. That was my alters perception of reality as well.

But that perception and belief is NOT reality. It is merely a perception and belief. Alters are NOT completely separate people, as you stated above. Alters are dissociated states of one individual human being who perceive themselves to be a wholly separate identity. DID is a disorder of *identity*, it is not a state of multiple people existing in one body.

I know you disagree completely with the scientific literature on this, but I can assure you with absolute certainty that where you live and work in NY, USA, there are people who not only agree with the current scientific literature but are *writing* it.
