It sounds unfair for a family to expect you to be a primary caregiver to the exclusion of your happiness and building your own life and love. How well do you know this man? Does your family disapprove of him because they just want you there to care for Mom, or is the some other reason? Also, what do you mean about the dog...Did I read this correctly...If the dog is not welcomed??? you would rather stay in CA?
