(((passionskyy))),

Ok, I can understand why this would trigger you and aggrivate the PTSD. It doesnt sound like he did anything to "you" though right? I am very sorry you were seeing someone that obviously was troubled in some way. Unfortunately, doctors of all kinds are people too, and some of them have problems. As long as "you" are not hurt, try to calm down and dont let yourself feed into the "drama" as that is easy to do with PTSD. Make sure you don't fall into the coulda thoughts, because you are OK and you are "not hurt", you are just rattled, ofcourse anyone would be, but you are ok.

Now you need to make a plan to find a new psychiatrist so you can go over any medications that you might have been put on by the psychiatrist that can no longer practice. You just want to make sure everything is ok. which it most likely is, so don't panic.

Remember, you are ok, you are safe now, so don't let yourself "feed into the panic" you don't have to do that, you have more control than you realize.

What I do when my brain begins to race like that is I just lay down and let my mind float and I direct it away from any bad thoughts or any "gotta think about this" thoughts and just let my brain relax and only allow easy and gentle pictures and relaxing images in. You really don't have to order yourself to get as upset as you think, you actually "can" take more control. That is what alot of people who have PTSD believe, they think the PTSD controls them somehow, well that doesn't have to be, you "can" gain more control over it.

You have to just learn to understand that you do "not" have to feed the fear and allow the anxiety to build up. Having more relaxing thoughts will dicipate the coritzol and the anxiety will ease up.
