I'm not quite sure what it is. It has something to do with rapid eye movement, only while awake. EMDR stands for eye movement desensitization and reprocessing.

The more I read, the more it seems to be for people who have suffered some sort of trauma that they can't let go of. My issues seem to stem more from a chemical imbalance than any sort of traumatic episode, so I doubt that seeing a psychologist for this would be beneficial.
