If I had a dollar for every time I've read a post complaining about pdocs in general or one's own pdoc in particular, I'd have been able to go on that Caribbean cruise with my son. I thank God I hit the jackpot the very first time I dipped my toe in the waters of psychiatry. I was very, very scared, and very, very ashamed of having to go in the first place; I can't imagine being mentally ill AND having to fight with the very person who's supposed to help. That just isn't fair.
