It's nice to see you again ~ seems as though it's been a LONG time!

I wish that I could help you feel just a teensy bit better. It sounds like you are really needing your mom's support and interest. It is heartbreaking to hear how things have been going for you. I hope that your next T appointment helps you get through daily life a little more easily.

I know that you don't give a hoot about advice, but I'll pass it on anyway. Maybe it will help for a moment or two! Try to live in the moment. Right here, right now. Let go of the past pains and the worries of the future. In dark times, step into a "safe haven". A relaxing & comforting place.

Imagine yourself walking alone in the woods on an early summer day. The air feels comfortable to you. Not cold or hot ~ just right. A light breeze tickles your skin gently. The sky is blue, with a few white puffy clouds that pass occasionally. You can hear fallen pine needles crunching softly as you walk through the woods. You take a deep breath. The air smells so fresh and clean! The scent of pine relaxes you as you continue walking towards the sound of a stream deeper in the woods. Each step feels lighter and happier. You spot the stream down the small hill you just passed. The trees open up to show a small grassy valley, peppered with a few large rocks alongside the stream. You finally get to the stream. The snow from higher elevation is melting slowly, and the water is very cold. Brrrr, that water is cold, but it feels good. It's invigorating! Your spot in the stream is about 5 feet wide and 1 foot deep. The way the water moves along the stream is mesmerizing. Slower in some spots than others, the water keeps on moving. You sit on a rock beside the stream for a while...just watching the water flow down deeper into the small valley. The stream just keeps coming, bubbling over some small rocks, carrying an occasional twig. Such relaxing sounds carried right along with the stream.

Very relaxed, you slowly move back into reality. You continue to hold onto those warm, comforting, and relaxing feelings that you felt in your "safe haven". Whenever you feel stressed out, super-down, or hopeless, go back to that safe haven. It is always right there with you!
