We do care! You certainly have had a rough ride. I've been on this bipolar roller coaster for over 12 years now and have had my share of all kinds of meds and several kooky psychiatrists, but not any as bad as the one you ended up with. Most are pretty decent. You might be able to go on the Internet and even find some reviews about ones in your area--or at least read about their credentials.

I agree about the anti-psychotics. I am Bipolar II, and I especially don't appreciate being given those. I didn't know what they were at the time. And weight gain......I won't get started on that.

Lamictal is a very popular mood stabilizer. I was on the maximum dose for years, though, and had to get off of it. It works well for most folks, I think, though.
