"She is a good mom" is stretching reality a bit. TBH she lives 15 min away. She has not made an attempt to visit or have them now for over a month and a half. I get empty promises from her repeatedly saying "this weekend... " then nothing. She did it again this past weekend and then later only texted me to ask me if I'd looked into helping her find a car yet, nothing about the kids or when she was coming over. I'm so sick of her letting the boys down. I made the mistake of letting them know she was supposed to be coming to get them only to have to tell them "I don't know what's going on, your mom is supposed to call me to let me know when and she hasn't called." I can't lie to them about it, although I didn't go out of my way to bash her either. Just stated the facts and even then I think it's still a huge let down for them. I'm so sick of it. It's not right to hurt your kids and abandon them like she is doing.
