I loved Zyprexa, but it put over 20 lbs. on me in about a month and at over 300 lbs, I couldn't afford to keep gaining! Plus, it sent my blood sugar roaring out of control and I was running in the upper 200-300 range (normal is between about 70-100). I wanted to eat almost anything that wasn't red hot or nailed down. So, I had to give it up, and I went w/o an AP for several months.

Now I'm on Geodon, and if it's done anything for my appetite I have yet to discover it. My appetite sort of went away after stopping the Z, and I've dropped over 40 lbs. since November without dieting. Geodon doesn't work as well for sleep as Zyprexa, and to be honest I'm actually somewhat hypomanic right now.....maybe the dose is too low, or maybe I was heading into a mood episode anyway. I dunno. But it's weight neutral for the most part, and so far I've certainly not gained anything, and feel like I'm still losing.
