Weird, I had no idea that was standard practice. hmmm. Well, my situation is kind of a strange one and it probably wasn't feasible initially and now H isn't an issue (he's otherwise occupied lol) it's the in-laws that are the issue. I guess I keep thinking that I need to experience bodily harm or the very real threat of it, not just veiled threats, before filing a restraining order. There's also my guilt issue...
