Please remember, Extremebipolar1, that when people judge us, they are revealing more of themselves than they are about us. Just rely on your deep inner principles for your sense of who you are and you'll be just fine. We don't even have the right to judge ourselves, let alone someone else trying to judge us. The best that anyone can do is just to evaluate who he/she is and live by those deep inner principles.

Welcome to the PC forum, by the way, and continue to keep in touch as you wish to overcome these very sensitive personal feelings that are part of the bipolar spectrum. (By the way, that's part of the giftedness of bipolar illness. It makes me wonder where you talents are and if you are developing and using them.)

I have a thing that I do when the sensitivity is too strong. I squeeze a lemon or
two into about 6-8 oz. of water and drink it. If, after 4 hours, I'm not calmer in
my feeling tone, I repeat the process. That works for me and for some others, too.
Try it the next time you feel too alert, too nervous, or too acutely aware of all that is around you.

We sometimes build a quiet interior in ourselves that helps a lot, too. Meditation is good for that. With time, you will become less sensitive if you work at these things.

Take care and keep in touch.
