If it was BMI figures that he was going by, I would say to take it with a large pinch of salt. It is just a guideline and does not take into account a person's build, bone density, muscle ratio etc. I guess you are gaining weight in recovery? A better thing to ask yourself is whether you feel healthier and more energetic now. People recovering from EDs should probably avoid thinking in terms of fat/thin/overweight/underweight. I don't know. I'm new to this, but this is just what I think. Hang in there. I'm sure you're not 'fat'.
