Finally I got my period. I tend to feel better when I get it. Trouble is, I only get it a few times a year. Always been that way, the past 40 years. I tried taking hormones for it, and they made me severely depressed. But I have mood swings and they seem like what people describe as PMS - cranky for no reason! Very cranky! I am so clueless about my body most of the time, and I have never had female friends to talk about this stuff with. So basically I get PMS most of the year, it seems, and then it gets worse. And finally it ends for a while.

Does this resonate with anyone? Any thoughts? Can't do the hormone route - shudder - but what else? At 50 plus you think this would be all done, but no. When does it end? And then what?

Any insight or helpful suggestions?
