The last time I came on this site I was very frustrated with psychiatrists and med changes. My Dr. kept upping meds and trying new different ones and I started to feel like they were making me worse.
I stopped taking my Lamictal and Lexapro one month ago. I have been taking only a small a mount of Seroquel a couple times a week when I have trouble sleeping. My goal is to get off that completely this winter. I am going to focus on exercising so that by the time I go to bed I am tired enough naturally and will not need the Seroquel.
So far its going very well. My head feels sooooo much clearer and I am not as forgetful!
I am off 2nd shift, that helps with keeping a better routine for me and I see my therapist on a weekly basis- she is looking out for me. This year I will work on lifestyle changes such as diet and exercise, so hopefully I will be able to manage bipolar for myself but not by myself.
