I am not certain this is a good plan for some clients. It can depend on how the therapist approaches things as to whether the client reacts receptively or not to the information. I have said this before, but the second one I see can say a good number of harder things and I will consider them. With the first, I end up in a battle until I win on some level. So I do believe it is possible to find one with whom the interaction is not a fight. I don't believe not winning in therapy for the client is a virtue. I believe it is a better virtue if the therapist can keep it from becoming a fight in the first place.
