I don't care about him...he drove me nuts, and I ended it with him (in the end) after back and forth breakups.
But I adored his children and I know I was a great "step-girlfriend" to them. His daughter loved me and I loved her...she wanted me to marry her father and asked me all the time about it. My heart broke when I split up with him because of her. Now the idea that someone else gets to spend the rest of her life with them (she has a twin brother) and see them grow up and be there for them makes me feel so incredibly sick.
