great to hear you got the right treatment, without it you would have had less chance of recovering to the degree you have. muscle atrophy can be part of DMD/CD as it only takes a couple of weeks of not using a muscle for it to begin deteriorating, also using a walker, you probably put some of your weight through your arms rather than putting it all through your legs, so they are not working as hard and can deteriorate and get weak.
if you do have a physiological condition running alongside CD the physiological condition should show up on tests.
