You're right. I've more recently developed a whole new respect for people who actually look me in the eye and smile as they walk past instead of being too caught up in their world to even notice I exist. I try to smile at people more and be more sincere when I ask how someone's doing because of people like them. I figure it's one small way I can make the world a tiny bit brighter.
