Birdcrazy, correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe she was referring to trileptal as the pill, not birth control as the pill.

Birdcrazy, I'm glad you are aware of this issue, though. When I was on trileptal, no one told me it decreased the effectiveness of my birth control... Luckily, I wasn't having sex... Thought about it, but didn't do it...

I agree with contacting your doctor, and in the future, always use a backup method of birth control.
