I just looked it up, and I think it's Type 2 you are to be more concerned about, but SO many factors go in to developing the disease...obesity (and you said you are underweight), genetics, etc.

If you ARE to be concerned, and you do care enough to mention them, so you must be...you could perhaps see a GP and get a blood test. You do want to make sure you aren't lacking Vitamin D or something else throwing your system out of whack. (I was deficient in Vit D and had to get a script for Vit D pills.)
