I have slurred speech on my antipsychotic Geodon. Had it now going on 5 years. Sometimes it's noticeable, sometimes it's not. For me, it's a form of muscle rigidity that is concentrated in my jaw and not a form of tardive dyskinesia. Sometimes I have trouble chewing, sometimes I don't. Pdoc lowered my dose to see if it would help and it has somewhat. Also tried Cogentin to counteract the muscle rigidity but found I am allergic to it. I do have the option of trying another med to counteract the muscle rigidity, to try other antipsychotics, or to just put up with it. The decision is mine and my pdoc will work with me in whatever path I choose to take. Right now I choose to put up with it until otherwise. For my mental health, Geodon has been a lifesaver.

Talk to your pdoc about your symptoms and make adjustments, add, or change meds accordingly with what is comfortable for you.
