There are college rankings. Top ten, top fifty, etc. There are Google search results that are ranked, presumably in the order of relevance and utility. There are rankings and ordered lists all around us. Still, people need not be ranked. Greenest, greener, green, grey, colorless. No. If you read OP closely, you will see that he just wants a different experience. Different, not necessarily better or worse. Sex with different people feels different. Kisses with different people feel different. Conversations with different people are experienced differently.
Differently does not necessarily mean better or worse, but just that - differently.
So the greener grass analogy is not fitting.
