There's the sad of good things being over and/or how fleeting they are. One night of good things does not make a life

Sometimes I feel like good "times" are like a string of beads and don't really go together in making a "Me". You have to figure out what makes/would make you happy inside, it can't come from outside and no one else can figure it out for you. You have to be "content" to be you and enjoy being you and "around" you.

Start small. What might make you more comfortable or happier right this minute? Something real. I once asked myself that question in the middle of the Zoo when I felt sad and the answer was "an ice cream cone." I set out to get myself one (no stores I could think of where I was) and it took me several hours to get the ingredients and literally make myself an ice cream cone. I was surprised how proud of myself I was for "getting" that for myself. But that's the sort of thing you have to do. You have to figure out what YOU want for your insides and work on getting it for yourself.

Sad just tells us we're "missing" something. It's just a feeling. it's not part of who we are or are becoming and the feelings will shift, move on to something else, come back, etc. The intensity, like anything else, is just "how much" you want.

What are you going to do the next 6 or 8 hours of your life? Your life is an adventure, no matter what you do. Have you ever read Pilgrim's Progress by John Bunyan? Here it is online: http://www.ccel.org/ccel/bunyan/pilgrim.html If you are not Christian, it's still possible to get comfort and hope from reading it.
