I don't think this community will change just because of a like button.

I participated in chats a bit for some time ago... and there were cliques here long before the like button. It's human interaction and the type of people who participates in it, not the buttons and features.
I mean, how is the "hugs" button different? Is hug-fest different from serial liking? Not really.
