People learn information in different ways. Some are visual, some auditory, some have to write things down. I didn't return to school until 11yrs after high school, and you do forget how to study. What I wound up doing was taking my notes, outlining those, then going back and outlining the outlines.

Flash cards help, even if you don't have someone to ask the questions. The best way is something you have already discovered, and that is keeping up with the material on a daily basis. Cramming works for people with really good short term memories, but if you want to retain the material, at least go through it once every night. It sounds time consuming, but right now its your job. Think of it as a long term investment.

Some professors will allow you to tape lectures, which you can then play while you drive to and from the store or school, wherever.

If you have found friends in school, get a study group going.

At this point, worry over the three tests tomorrow isn't going to help. Just review the material, accept your grade on them and remember how you felt going into these tests next time you try to put off a study session. If you can relax while you study, and not worry about how you will do tomorrow, you will retain much more than if you are all tight and scared.
