If it wasn't the med for you, better stop. But I don't agree with the doc. There is no one serotonin med. All the SSRI's are not the same. Actually some are very different from each other and it's not especially smart to diss a class of med for all the future. The theory makes sense... but real life is different. You might do well on a different class med, but still... if all SSRIs were the same there would be one single med called SSRI.
