I am from Western New York, but now live in Southern Ontario. I don't use much slang, but WOW do the canucks love their "regional speak". Especilly around the game of curling---it's taken me 10 years to decipher most of it, and I'm still figuring some out.

To make matters more complicated, the gang husband grew up with LOVE to make up their own terminology for different things---funny adjectives, great descriptors---just playing with the language. I don't know if that's common in Canada, but it really threw me when I first got here.
