U have valid questions. Three weeks should show some signs but u should ask ur pdoc. I took lamictal too but it didn't help me or at least not fast enough. I rapid cycled and had to take something more fast acting. I was put on lithium and Risperdal. I don't rapid cycle anymore. Definitely speak with ur pdoc ASAP. I hope the best for u.
