I, personally, would say, if you are able to control the impulses, it shouldn't be too big of a deal. But, like the person previous suggested, please check out the different resources available on the site (read the different things they have under "Conditions" and "Resources").

I, also, have some pretty weird impulses. But, mostly, they involve acting out different things in my imagination (like alternate things that could happen in a scene of a movie, or a book, or just a story I made up myself). But I don't feel like I "have" to, if you know what I mean. It's just a strong impulse, sometimes slightly automatic.

Also, depending on how old you are (I loved to pretend I was a dog or a horse when I was younger, up until I was about 10), when your imagination runs a bit wilder than when you're older. Depending on your age, it might wear off over time; I don't know.

Also, I would encourage you to go to the "Ask" section, and ask one of the PC therapists your question, and make sure you're as detailed as possible, so that they can understand what's going on.
