In my opinion, as a pharmacist, I think it would depend on the situation. I don't think I would send a printout to the doctor, but I might tell what they picked up. I also would add that maybe they got it filled elsewhere. We have a professional relationship with doctors and are able to share information regarding health and safety.
But, like I said, for me, it would depend on the situation and the details.
