RSha, the type of depression (when it isn't "reactive" ordinary sadness) is usually called clinical depression and just means a chemical imbalance that interferes with normal feelings, motivation, energy. I had a good reaction to Zoloft but it took me a month. My main mistake was not getting counseling to go with the meds. Talk to your T (therapist) and you will come up with a plan to get out of this mood. If by chance you and your T do not "click" then you gotta bite the bullet and get another T, do not wait. TALK is a must, so is getting some exercise. Don't be scared, you'll be okay it just takes some patience.
