Cymbalta is an antidepressant, it works on both serotonin and norepinephrine. (Helps with physical pain also). Lamictal is a mood stabilizer for the bipolar. I was on that combo for a while and it helped. I am currently on an antidepressant and mood stabilizer combo for bipolar with severe depressive episodes.
