My husband does this to me all the time. He also has a crappy knack for timing and seems to ask me the litany of questions at exactly the wrong time. (i.e. 2 minutes before I need to run out the door to go to work and I'm already running late.)

I've told him before that this kind of thing bothers me and there's been a few times where I've responded with outright rage when I really didn't mean to. I can tell if it's a conversation that's going to head that way and before things get too heated I try to cut in with "hey, can we not talk about this right now, please?".

Something about adding the "please" in there at the end softens the blow a bit too.

I can then approach the conversation later in the day or several days later on my own terms when I know I can better handle it.
