Hi ~ It can be hard to control anger but it can be done if you're really committed to it.

What I have always done is THINK before I say anything -- or DO anything. Before I shout or open my mouth, I THINK about it first. Do I really want to say that, and if I do, what are the repercussions?? How much is it going to hurt the other person? Is it going to REALLY effect the relationship?

Believe it or not, I DO question that? If I value the relationship with the person I'm angry with, then I have to be careful what I say whether I'm in a rage or not!! So I've basically "taught" myself to think before I talk. By this time it only takes a couple of seconds or so before I say anything or keep quiet.

You can do it too if you try. It has saved my relationship because I'm Irish and have a rotten temper when I'm REALLY upset/angry.

If you REALLY have a very serious problem with it, therapy is the answer. Have your doctor refer you to a good therapist. That will do the trick. God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee
