I'm looking at bankruptcy right now, although all my debt is several years old... an aggressive collector has been placing garnishment on various banks in my area, obviously trying to find an account I might have (I don't have a bank or CU). But they may try to get a lien against my home and I must take action to prevent that as I cannot pay them the debt... it has been shuffled around from the original creditor anyway, as often happens.
