There are other categories that work with different neurotransmitters, they are the predecessors (sp?) so they are in an older category, but are also still prescribed,if Iwere you I'd check with your pdoc on the different options, beleive me I know about SSRI "poop out".
I can't remember the various meds. one group are called tri-cyclics, but check with your doc anyway.
I personally do not take any of the AD's anymore just a mood stabilizer (anti-convulsant) Lamictal, which has great AD properties but yet is not an AD.
Just don't give up hope, there are many options that your pdoc and you can explore
