Is he in therapy? If he's not, he SHOULD be. Encourage him to go if he's not in therapy. And make sure he DOES go.

Stay away from him when he's in a manic episode because he's dangerous! Do NOT go near him. You can't help him when he's in one of these. He needs to talk to his therapist about these episodes because his meds aren't controlling them. These are FAR TOO MANIC. The meds should be controlling them better than this!!

His friends should be staying away too, because someone is going to get hurt and badly! He could get arrested one of these days, and charge with assault. That's not good!

So encourage him (after he's out of this manic phase) to talk to his therapist about controlling these manic episodes -- the meds aren't working! It's imperative that something is done!
