I believe you're human and this is the first time I have encountered you on the forum. When I was in the process of uncovering the rest of the gang, it was very important to limit who I shared them with. I had a couple of very close friends who knew my folks....but only the ones who were ok with being known.

I made a mistake in telling a fellow therapist about some of them. The next thing I know, she had alters built on those I told her about. She tried to steal my people. She did not have DID anymore than my dog did. My inner folks were livid and I had a lot of internal damage control to contend with. Lesson learned.

I believe with DID, everybody wins or everybody loses. The folks who are out most have of thetime have a duty to protect the wounded ones......as in not put them out for people to further abuse. Share only when it is safe.
