I try really hard to practice kindness, which is not easy when my normal brain setting is negativity.

I try to see the beauty in other people and stay in that vibration.

But then stuff happens that blows me away.

For example, I've gained a lot of Facebook friends who I met in real life at various conferences where you have a huge variety of people. This seems odd to some of my long-term friends in my white-white, intolerant town.

So several times when these diverse friends have posted new profile photos and I have commented that they are beautiful, I have then received messages from the white-whites saying something like, "Do you need your vision checked? That nappy-headed woman is not beautiful."

Those are just about the features you have no control over. Yet the white-whites are fine with tattoos and piercings and things you choose to do to yourself. Those are beautiful, but the way God created someone is not?

I don't get it.
