Yes, it was my first time. She did not want to take me off the Wellbutrin as of yet but added the Lamictal to deal with my issues with rage/anger/impulsivity. I guess I just assume that a doctor knows what they are doing, but I still find it a little unnerving that in a 45-min first session she was able to develop such a "comprehensive" diagnosis. Although I was completely honest with her, what keeps someone from going in and making up symptoms to get medicated? I thought there would be tests or something a little more thorough than just "tell me what brought you here today." Hell, the answer to that question would take me days to explain, definitely not something I can summarize in 45 minutes.
